   Excuse  me,  ma'am,  but  that  was  not  a rant, and you know it, and
   neither the
   universe nor philosophy figured into it. It was simple common sense,

   Kathleen, I am going to try extra hard to be gentle with you on this
   one, because I'm sure your response is well intended, but let us be
   blunt. Your list has a history of being a source of inaccurate
   rumors. This is the place where I picked up that silly rumor about
   Videogasm not providing water for the showers, much to the
   frustration of the nice (and reasonable) people over at Videogasm,
   who were absolutely astonished at this idea, and ended up hearing
   from a lengthy string of concerned campers. Pranks like that aren't
   funny, especially when these guys are working so hard to get it all
   together for so many people, and have so little time left.

   Baltwash is not a reliable source of information. I'm sorry, it just
   isn't. So, when I hear yet another ludicrous rumor from this place,
   what can I say ? I won't be fooled again.
   The other regional lists are rolling in laughter over this one, right
   now.  People  being  arrested at Burning Man for nudity ? Get serious.
   I've
   heard  from  a  lengthy series of people there, right now, who tell me
   that
   nothing of the sort has happened. So, please, with all due respect, do
   not
   insult  my  intelligence,  by telling me that I shouldn't be using it.
   Logic
   and common sense made it clear to me that the Hendricks' brothers were
   being  handed  a  load  of  crap - and guess what ? The people who are
   actually
   there,  are  reporting  that  it  is, indeed, a load of crap. So, your
   listmates
   respond to the reality that they're left without a leg to stand on, by
   trying  to  change  the  subject,  and pretend that we were discussing
   public
   intercourse,  when  the subject was the hazards of public nudity. This
   is not
   the  same subject, and let's not pretend it is. Are you warning me not
   to
   have  sex  out  in  the middle of the Esplanade ? I wouldn't have done
   that,
   anyway.  There  are  places  I  just don't want to get Playa dust, and
   besides
   which, I'm sorry, it just doesn't sound very romantic.
   But,  if  it's  90  -  100  degrees  out ? Kathleen, guys - sorry, but
   Burning Man
   is  well  known  as  a clothing optional event, and let's get serious.
   Being
   seen  naked  from  the  Esplanade, is not the same thing as being seen
   naked
   from a state highway. I know it, you know it, the courts know it, and
   according to witnesses on the scene, the cops know it. The only people
   who
   really  seem  to  have  an  issue with this, are on this list, and how
   strange
   is that ? A handful of people on this list have been a royal, trolling
   pain
   in  the  ass  this  time,  >again<,  and my greatest mistake today was
   wasting
   logic on people who just wanted to whip up the hysteria, and hear
   themselves  talk.  No  more  of  that.  Am  I going to go nude, if the
   weather
   allows  ?  Yes,  you bet, me, and half the people there. Am I going to
   worry
   about yet another silly-assed urban myth as I do so ? Hell, no ! What,
   didn't  I  learn  my  lesson  last time ? If it sounds too crazy to be
   true, it
   almost certainly is.
