I also think that the permission route is too 'unwieldly' for an event like this. I don't have a problem with video because I am offended by it, and if I was, your response should be Tough Shit. I have an aesthetic problem with video and still pictures, because it prevents the moment from truly existing in itself. I realize that this may be too 'deep' or 'stupid' for some people, but it's a nice way to live life....... I've seen some really strange things at events like this, things that have changed my beliefs about life, and I'm glad I don't have a picture, because if I was able to see them again, they might not seem so strange. But I realize this is a personal preference, so I would never tell someone, who had artistic intentions of their own, that they couldn't interpret the event through a camera lens. So, I don't care. >If you don't want your picture taken(for any reason)...you probably.. now I >can't say for sure as no one can because no one is anyone else but >themselves... probably don't really belong there... if you feel you need to >restrict someone else's experience because of your own shortcomings or >insecurities or ANY OTHER REASON whether real or imagined ... well then >you >are just like everyone else. you are them. There are many illusions about life that can be ruined by a video. Who are you to say that it would damage nothing but someone's pride? Know anyone in the closet, because coming out would seriously fuck up their relationship with there parents, siblings, or anyone else? I know a few, actually. And a well placed video would sure as hell fuck up alot more than their pride.... Not that BC video is anywhere near that serious, but I think it's pretty arragant to have that kind of attitude.... > >well i don't feel that pride or illusions of one's self have any room at >such an event...
