I have to say this, Joe Dunphy, I found your post about the original naked photo to be a bit harsh, overbearing and threatening sounding (the whole "legal" tone it took). I personally don't give a sh** if and where my pic turns up. In fact I guess I expect it to turn up on some sites. I mean I was in the corn-ligthing procession & all, so my pic better turn up. I want the picture to turn up. I also don't give a sh** that I didn't offer anyone permission. I sort of expect it. Hey, it's a Burning event, okay> I mean, Joe, I find your postings on the various regional lists that I get and you're just dying to get out to Burning Man. Well, imagine your problem with trying to control where your image turns up, multiply that by 300 (approximately that many more people will be shooting without your permission at Burning Man). Why be so eager to go out there if you know that may be happening? And you don't EVEN want to have to be threatening legal action against the entire Burning Man subculture and community--I mean, why be so eager to join this cult that engages in a practice so offensive to you? but I digress. One of the highlights of that time post burn-events for me (and remember I'm still a Burning Man newbie; all I've been to are regional things) is "oooh, oooh, who's got PICS?" I'm a freekin pic junkie. I especially want to see great fire spinning pics since I'm a spinner, and hope that someone has some good ones of me out there somewhere. I guess I'd just say, "hey, we're Burners. Pics. It's what we DO." Er uh, get used to it, okay?
