Hello Chicago People and Other Folks Who may Be in
Town during the election...
Sooooooooooo- the moment we have all been waiting
for... the moment of truth... the cataclysmic
moment... the HOLY SHIT can we breathe or should we
leave moment... is coming to a 24 hour news station
near you... and a community space too...
thats right- on election day, Tuesday, November 2nd,
2004, TransAmoeba will open its doors and invite you
to bite your nails in style... starting early that
evening, we will open the doors and have an election
party... the party will end when the end occurrs...
(assuming that it does end sometime that night or
early morning, bring a sleeping bag, it could get
ugly)...
this idea is fresh so our plan is evolving- but there
are a whole bunch of things we can do to be together
and enjoy this moment in less conventional ways...
-we could topple a Bush statue- if he wins- we can
topple it anyway... or if you are a Bush fan we can
tar and feather you...
-we could make cool food and drinks... with super
duper extra sexy political names...
-the musicians could make related music that
correspond to the polls...
-the projectionist can distort Dan Rather's face and
insert psychadelic Saddam's...
So- if you have good ideas or want to participate, get
back to me and we will try to integrate some of the
ideas into this event...
We will be charging $10 general admission, $5 if you
have your proof of voting stub... SO PLEASE DON'T
VOTE- we need the money!!!! Just Kidding!!!!!
VOTE!!!! VOTE!!!! VOTE!!!! and then prove it!!!
