It was Jonathan Kamens, of soc.culture.israel, his partner in crime Tim Skirvin, and a horde of their no-name friends from s.c.i. Yes, indeed, I was being harassed by the very group that I had already tried to get Fred's thread out of! Some of whom decided that e-mail wasn't enough, and started making phone calls instead.

Pretty frigging bizarre, wouldn't you say? Especially as the mail didn't start until after I had tried to persuade Fred to take his thread out of soc.culture.israel. The argument? I was told that the post in which I asked Fred Cherry, and those who responded to him, to please remove the thread from s.c.i, did not belong in s.c.i.! I was astounded by this argument, and asked if people were even reading the posts that they were responding to. As it turns out, Jon later acknowledged that he wasn't, but didn't see why that should be a problem.
