I don't consider 210MB of email in a 10 minute window, emergency filtering action on our part to stop the mailbombing, installation of mail processing filters and the involvement of the FBI to be a "few emailed complaints". Like I said, this is a personality conflict and a case of two people having declared war on someone they dislike. These folks also tried to get this guy's account pulled *before he had even managed to use it*! One of the problems of having a DS-3 based backbone is that it becomes trivially simple to really blast someone's free disk space with this kind of attack. In the old T1 days there was enough time to figure out what was going on. At 28 times the speed things get rather interesting indeed. -- -- Karl Denninger (karl@MCS.Net)| MCSNet - The Finest Internet Connectivity Modem: [+1 312 248-0900] | (shell, PPP, SLIP, leased) in Chicagoland Voice: [+1 312 803-MCS1] | 10 Chicagoland POPs, ISDN, 28.8, much more Fax: [+1 312 248-9865] | Email to "info@mcs.net" WWW: http://www.mcs.net/ ISDN - Get it here TODAY! | Home of Chicago's only FULL Clarinet feed!
