Yo!

Lorne may have a severely myopic perspective, but he seems to be a sincere "crusader" and I bear him no ill will. I was alerted to this post by a rather impolite email from him. Here's part of the response:

"I didn't attack. I don't hate you. I don't want to attack you. No one I know uses such methods. Please don't assume I hate you back.

"As I bothered to email you, altho I disagree with your means and your one-sided thinking, I have zero ill-will toward anyone who sincerely works to reduce child abuse, especially child sexual abuse.

"When you post messages that mis-state NAMBLA's goals or positions, I will publicly correct you. I wish for you only deeper clarity and a more reasoned perspective.

But Fred Cherry Pitt's just another self-centered caustic bastard.

In response to the "divide and conquer" posts this cross-post was designed to generate, here's a stock boilerplate... With Love, Tebster

FAQ: NAMBLA IS A GAY LIBERATION ORGANIZATION !!

> Isn't NAMBLA just "riding the coat-tails"
> of the Gay Rights movement?

Founded in 1978, NAMBLA's one of the oldest gay liberation organizations in existence. We were the first, and for many years the only North American member of ILGA (Intl Lesbian/Gay Assoc) and also sent delegates and donations to GLAAD's founding caucus. It's only recently that toady assimilationists have worked to homogenize the homos for the pleasure of Jessie Helms.

The nazi's hired jews to police the warsaw ghetto, too. Gay rights? Feh! We don't deserve civil rights because "We're just like you except..." No. Diversity should have no bearing on civil rights, and lesbians and gays are very, very, diverse. Whitewashing this to present us as "mainstream marketable" is ludicrous. It will fail and be documented as a silly mistake. Hopefully, soon.

> Doesn't NAMBLA want ALL homosexuals
> to be pederasts?

NAMBLA does not encourage anyone to be sexually attracted to anyone. We merely call out for the individual rights of boys and men to have caring, loving and enthusiastic sexual relationships.

That said, I wouldn't mind having some of our detractors wake up tomorrow with a sincere and innate attraction to boys so that they might know how it feels to be this country's most popular scapegoat. But no, most homosexuals don't have what it takes to care for youth. Youth ARE special. It takes incredible patience and unselfish sensitivity to stick with someone throughout the crests of adolescence. Most bar- hopping fuck-bunnies I've met worship their own totem and might as well install a full length mirror in their bedroom to keep them company. Personally I'm glad most clones I've met are too busy to bother with youth.

> But hasn't NAMBLA been banned from
> "Gay Pride" parades?

In Seattle. Every other city NAMBLA chooses to march in believes in tolerance in the rights of homosexuals to express themselves. This includes New York, San Francisco and Boston in recent years. In 1994's Stonewall 25 March on the UN, The "Spirit Of Stonewall" contingent formed to protect NAMBLA's right to march included over 600 participants. This display of public solidarity made the covers of Advocate, Out and 10% Magazines that Summer.

> Shouldn't boys be left to their own
> when it comes to sexuality?

Just because most of us were left to fend for ourselves doesn't mean it's a right or sane policy. Do you assume gay 12 year olds should be masturbating in private shame? What a good way to promote shame-filled, drunken, anonymous-sex bar-hoppers!

> Doesn't the gay community condemn NAMBLA
> and respect all age-of-consent laws?

The "Gay Community" leaves it to the club bouncer to decide who's "of age". Cuz once a kid gets in, he's always the center of attention. Of course, clones don't like children, because they wouldn't give the kid the time of day 2 years earlier. Talk about hypocritical! You've seen him/her -- the smooth skinned diva who's the eye of the hurricane for a couple years, and may spend the rest of his life trying to reclaim lost glory. It is not this kind of farsical "boy worship" that NAMBLA is about.

Face it, a couple dozen "gay youth rap groups" meeting in gay community centers across the country just doesn't cut it. That's just segregation in place of integration.

> Shouldn't parents decide when their
> child is ready to be sexual?

When has a parent EVER decided that? The question is, how much secrecy and rebellion should a kid have to foment before finally denying any other person's supposed authority over his body? NAMBLA believes everyone should have this right from the get-go. We will ALL be much safer and happier when there are no more dirty secrets or law-enforced ignorance under the guise of "protection."

Do you let YOUR parents choose your lovers? Or, not any more, but you did when you were 12? What? You mean you NEVER asked your parents about who you should have sex with? But when it comes to boys and men freely and consensually forming intimate sexual relationships, why is it assumed that parents or society should be blessing or condemning it?

You might not agree with NAMBLA's positions, but most agree that the way our society is currently treating its youth is abhorrant. This should be the issue, not cracking on NAMBLA.
