Time was, if you wanted to tell somebody to sauté something in a recipe online, you either had to settle for telling him to "saute" it, or make use of a graphic that would leave those using non-graphical browsers confused. Why? Because the "ascii" character set used online was created by English-speaking Americans.
How times have changed, and for the better. If you don't want to be bothered with learning those codes for creating some of the formerly non-available characters, one alternative is cut and paste. To that end, I present the non-standard character set below. Enjoy.
