Medicine in Iraq
It seems that along with all of the other deprivations created by Saddam Hussein, the medical system in Iraq had been allowed to starve for a lack of current medical knowledge. New medical texts were unknown in Iraq. Heck, even old ones were unknown as medical students were working from photocopies of old texts.
And a small quest for current medical knowledge led by a couple of Army doctors blossoms into tons and tons and tons of current books, journals, and magazines being sent from American doctors and medical colleges to Iraq.
From Michael Yon, of course.
You wouldn't expect Time to put this sort of thing on the cover, right? Or Newsweek......or US News.....or the NYTimes....or.....or.....
