    Below is a snapshot of the 48 hour running window
    of graphs generated by the enhanced tellerstats
    shell scripts.  This particular snapshot was chosen
    to demonstrate a small experiment.  Note the huge
    spikes in the system load average plot.  They were
    generated a script to compile the Linux 2.6.7 kernel,
    with the commands

        make -j3 MAKE='make =j3' clean;\
        make -j3 MAKE='make =j3' bzlilo;\
        make -j3 MAKE='make =j3' modules

    The effect was to keep the load average above 8
    for more than 30 minutes.  The effects (or lack of
    them) on system voltages and temperatures is
    visible in the resulting graphs.  </font></td></tr>
