Where can I find CDG/Karaoke Files?

An example link to a free song: …

The website below has some free songs (although you need to sign up for a free account … and it is a bit of a pain to get the correct .ZIP version that has the CDG):
(many that say that have CDG/ZIP appear to only come in WMV format.)

You can also find CDG (MP3+G) disks and rip them … although you need software (I bought Microstudio from MTU.COM).  CDGs aren’t that easy to find on the net (unless you want to pay, or if you can find torrents).

Most of the karaoke songs don't include backing vocals (evidently that isn’t what most people want) … so if you want karaoke with backing vocals, that makes it a bit harder (even buying the disks usually doesn’t you backing vocals).

You can get a free Winamp Karaoke plugin (KJAMP CDG) … and then when you start the song, you’ll automatically get the box showing the words to sing-along.  Quite nice.

Re: Where can I find CDG/Karaoke Files?

Winamp with the CDG plugin plays MP3+G files only.
