Re: Modifying Files

I think I fixed all those problems in the new v0.645 beta.

It is uploading now -- so files should be available in 45 minutes or so.

Re: Modifying Files

Great, am going to download now.  Just got home after many hours on the road and am busy tomorrow, so it may be 24 hours before I can test seriously.

What is your e-mail address?  I see mccaffj -at- newsguy·com but it copies as mccaffjt Mp3-Boss newsguy·com ... I fully understand why you don't want an address to show as text (I use graphics on my websites).  Thought I could click on E-mail and that would get to you directly, but am not convinced.  Can you send me an off-list reply?

BTY, I just found the log file and attach the latest messages.  All the ones with Tag 1 errors succeeded (I think) the second time.  Never saw mismatch (12) errors, but now see there are some of those and mismatch (8) message in the log.

Re: Modifying Files

p.s.  Drive D (above) is an internal drive that can go to sleep, but doubt it had ... I have 3TB of internal storage on this machine.

Re: Modifying Files

The email is "mccaffjt -at- newsguy -dot- com" -- I show the graphic to prevent SPAM harvesting.  I've changed the alt-text to make it clearer.

Just to be sure -- all the Tag1Errors you report are from the prior version, right?

I found one error in the v0.645 beta -- tag creation problem if the User_Category is blank.  I'll fix that tonight.

Yes, the errors are all from 0.644, have yet to try 0.645.

Re: Modifying Files

I've fixed the bug I found regarding an empty user_category when creating tags -- released as beta v0.646.

...hopefully this will become the official release.

Re: Modifying Files

Am still getting all the "Enter Parameter Value" messages for ID3v2.ID3_TMED messages from version 0.646 so don't know what to do next.

Re: Modifying Files

Exactly when do you get that error message?

As soon as you enter List View?  Or when you click on TAG?  Or when you write the tags?

Please ZIP and send me your *.MD? files -- so hopefully I can see the problem here.

Thanks,

Re: Modifying Files

BTY, The changes to user category that were showing up fine in WMP and Vista Explorer a couple betas ago no longer show up.

In fact I see they are not showing up in the MP3 files when I do Auto-Update ALL (I copied files to another folder and re-scanned with MP3-Boss).  I made changes to another field (Album) and they were stored in the files OK.  This problem was gone in about 0.643 or 4, but has come back sad

Re: Modifying Files

I got your files, and removed the link.  Thanks.

I'm really surprised about:
"changes to user category that were showing up fine in WMP and Vista Explorer a couple betas ago no longer show up."

...although I'm hoping that is because of the "Enter parameter problem" that you see.

Addendum:
Using your files, I'm able to reproduce the problem here...now just need to figure out the fix!
