Which field(s) are you copying?

Are you using a custom profile so the column order is something other than default?

Just in case...have you added a SendTo item to the list so that bug is 'fixed'?

Anybody else having a problem with CopyDown (I've tried a few fields and not seen the problem yet).

Re: Copy Down Function

No to first question.

Yes to Second Question.

Do you think I got a bad download?  It appears that you and I have different programs.

I wouldn't think it was a bad download, since a bad download would probably show something more serious.

Do you get this error even if you try to copy just a single row?  Or is it only when you copy large blocks?

Re: Copy Down Function

Try "Start/Programs/MP3Boss/Optimize Database" and Optimize Data.  Perhaps there has been a database corruption that is causing this.

If that doesn't fix the problem, send me a ZIP copy of MPEG.MDE and DATA.MDB

Re: Copy Down Function

I installed an earlier version V.57, and the copy down command works great.  Has to be a fault  in the latest version.

I should have v0.600 out shortly...hopefully that will also work OK with Copydown for you.  So far, I don't have any other reports of a copydown problem with 0.599...anybody else seeing it?

Re: Copy Down Function

The latest version V.600 does not correct the copy down function.  I am currently using V.591 in order to use the copy down function.  I have tried the last two Beta's of MP3 Boss on several different computers that I own, and they also have a problem with the copy down, but not using earlier versions of Boss.

Do you get the error when you try copying 1 comment row?  Or only when you copy a block of data?  I still haven't been able to see the problem.

Did anything change when you used Optimize Database/Optimize Data?

Please ZIP and send me copies of your MPEG.MDE, CONFIG.MDB and DATA.MDB files.

Re: Copy Down Function

The same error message occurs whether I attempt to copy down one line or several.  This appears to be a runtime error in access, but I don't know how to correct it.  Since this problem has not occured prior to V6, I have to assume there is an programming error in the current Beta. Does this make sense?

My guess is that this is due to a field problem during the update, but I haven't been able to see it here...and so far you are the only person to see it.

It turns out that beta versions prior to v0.601 wouldn't save all of the configuration information during an update...and perhaps one of the missing configuration items is the problem (for instance, it is NULL when it needs to be an empty string "").

It is also possible that the order of the updates was the problem...beta versions before v0.582 had some field issues, and it is possible that if you were to update your data from v0.57 to v0.601 that it would work fine.

Are you always working with DATA.MDB updates, or do new installs show the problem too?

Please ZIP and send me copies of your MPEG.MDE, DATA.MDB and CONFIG.MDB files (that show the copydown problem)...and I'll see if I can duplicate the problem here.
