flac Files

John,

Will MP3-Boss edit/update flac tags (metadata)?  If it is able to update the metadata, then I must be doing something incorrectly.  Is there a configuration parameter which must be set to allow this to occur?

    Thanks

Re: flac Files

MP3-Boss reads the FLAC tags, but only ID3 Tags Version 1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 are writeable.

Are you using the FLAC tags just for comments, or for other fields?

Re: flac Files

I use several tags (for all music types including mp3 and flac) the principle ones being Title, Artist, Year, Album and Track.  User_Category, Genre, Composer and TrackArtist are also used but not as extensively.

    Thanks

Re: flac Files

Are you seeing any problems with reading the FLAC tags?

Writing tags would actually be quite easy -- the reason I didn't do it is because every format supports different tags, which means I'd like to provide some way of showing the active (readable/writable) tags for each format.  Or should I just be writing all active fields (even though the Write tags dialog was written for tags available in ID3v2.x)?
