Setting wanted for scan with update of the shifted and deleted tracks.

Hallo,

my English is not so good. I am looking for the setting, which also removes deleted or moved songs from the list. Using the switch off in the scan window "Add New Files Only" did not work. I'm using version 0.620.

ich suche die Einstellung, welche auch gelöschte oder verschobene Musik Titel aus der Liste entfernt. Mit den Schalter im Scan Fenster  "Add New Files only" ausschalten hat nicht funktioniert. Ich verwende die Version 0.620.

best regards

Beyalla

Re: Setting wanted for scan with update of the shifted and deleted tracks.

On the MP3 Scan dialog (before scanning), make sure you have selected the Radio button
Scan Type: Overwrite
(found near top-right of that page, just underneath the Done button).

Selecting Overwrite will create a brand-new database.

Sorry it took me so long to answer this question -- somehow how I wasn't notified.

Thanks,
John

Re: Setting wanted for scan with update of the shifted and deleted tracks.

You would need to save a backup of the old database before creating the new database. That would let you recover the database of old songs. Remember that MP3-Boss doesn't delete those song files when creating a new database ... so the songs will be re-scanned when you create a new database (unless you choose to ignore the directories that contain those songs.
