(3315) Field 'Lyrics.Lyrics' can't be a zero-length string?

Hi,

(3315) Field 'Lyrics.Lyrics' can't be a zero-length string.

I get this message when doing my initial scan.  Is there something goofy in my id tag causing this?  I've deleted the id3v2 tage in winamp and recopied it from id3v1 to no avail.

Thanks!
Tim

Re: (3315) Field 'Lyrics.Lyrics' can't be a zero-length string?

Hi John,

I appreciate the offer.   Can I edit the id3 tag myself in Winamp so I don't have to bother you with further errors?

When I retried it, the entire error was:

The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced the following error:

*The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user defined function, or [Event procedure].
*There may have been an error evaluating the function, event, or macro.

Thanks!
Tim

Re: (3315) Field 'Lyrics.Lyrics' can't be a zero-length string?

It probably isn't the id3 tag this time, but the lyrics tag.

I should be able to have it fixed in the next beta if I get a copy of the problem file.  If I can easily reproduce a bug...then bugfixing is easy.

I'd really appreciate a file that shows the problem...I HATE scanning problems, even if they are rare.

You can send files to:

Re: (3315) Field 'Lyrics.Lyrics' can't be a zero-length string?

It looks like this has been fixed in the beta (I think 0.584/0.594) -- I was able to scan it into v0.602 without problem.

What version are you using -- please update to the latest beta and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for your help!
