Expanded line of small dryers

KENNER, LA -- Milnor has expanded its line of small dryers to include several new models, the M82, the M96, the M122, the M175 and the M190. The dryers use the Phase 6 microprocessor that offers six pre-set dry cycles that are all reprogrammable. Some models have a lint drawer monitor that prompts the operator to clean the lint drawer. The dryer uses direct spark ignition and has built-in troubleshooting. Capacities for the full line range from 55 to 190 pounds.

Efficient washers

GROVEPORT, OH -- Staber Industries has the Staber System 2000, a top-load horizontal axis washer which the company said uses up to 66 percent less water, 75 less detergent and 50 percent less energy than traditional agitator washers.

Instead of a round tub, the Staber system 2000 uses a patented stainless steel eight-sided outer tub with a six-sided inner tub and tumbles laundry down repeatedly into a bottom pool of water. That creates a water pumping action that forces the water through the inner basket and gently tumbles the clothes to clean more effectively than in circular tubs.

The company recently opened a new 60,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility near Columbus.
