TAMPA, FL -- Seitz Inc. has launched a new pre-spotter for drycleaners which combines several traditional functions in one bottle.
Called Seitz Polysol SL, it is supplied in a squeeze bottle and can be applied directly to the fabric without a brush. Because it contains no chlorinated solvents, the product can also be safely sprayed without irritating the skin or eyes. Suitable for use with perchloroethylene, Polysol SL is effective for treating wet- and grease-bound stains on white or colored fabrics. The product does not affect the stability of dyestuff and rinses out well.
The Polysol KWV variant has been designed for use in petroleum/hydrocarbon.
Seitz said that Polysol should used full-strength or, where garments are known not to be moisture sensitive, diluted 2:1 with water. Used regularly on tenaciously greasy areas such as collars, cuffs, sleeve linings and pockets, Polysol can reduce the need for specialized spotting chemicals and accelerate production, the company added.

NORTHVALE, NJ -- Several new safety features have been incorporated into Multimatic Legend drycleaning machines. Electronic door sensors located on the button trap, lint trap, still door and loading door prevent machine operation if any of these doors are open.
A new still cleanout rake not only makes cleaning the still easier and faster but also makes the task safer. To prevent accidental solvent spills from reaching the floor, tall Multimatic Legend machines are supplied with a containment tray from which spilled solvent can be recycled to the tanks.
A standard feature is the Multimatic patented basket isolator that seals off the entire recovery section, air channel, button trap and the tanks from the basket to reduce solvent vapors in the basket to an insignificant amount quickly.

TULSA, OK -- Royaltone's Leather Sheen is a non-flammable water-based finish for refinishing cuir savage (aniline) leathers. Leather Sheen is colorless and is used to restore the original satin sheen characteristic of cuir savage leather. It produces a finish that resists abrasion and wear while enhancing the original color and giving a flexible, pliable finish to dry porous cuir savage leather.
Leather Sheen can be mixed with the water-based Brit-N Dyes in the matching color to restore both the sheen and color to cuir savage leathers. Leather Sheen must be applied with an air spray gun and can be mixed with water-based Leather Pro Leather Finish in the matching color to cover unremovable spots and stains and to restore worn surface areas, such as along the edges of cuffs, hems and lapels.
Items can also be sprayed with a mix of equal parts of Leather Sheen, Brit-N Dye and Leather Pro in the original matching color to restore the surface of the skin, the color and the sheen in one application. Leather Sheen can be cleaned up with water before it dries.

HUNTLEY, IL -- Firbimatic has received approval of its EcoGreen Series Sixth Generation GreenEarth Solution Cleaning machine following tests conducted at One Hour Martinizing in Racine, WI.
The machines, designed for use with GreenEarth Cleaning Solution, features a new "Quick-Dri" recovery chamber, dual stage fractional distillation still and a special moisture absorbing filtration circuit.
During tests, the machine ran start-to-finish load times for a single bath cycle in about 45 minutes; a two-bath cycle ran 50 minutes.
The Quick-Dri chamber maximizes air flow and solution recovery by using an inverter driven fan motor along with special refrigeration condenser and heat pump "Super Coils" to reduce the drying time needed for a rigid mount machine.
A dual stage fractional distillation still allow collection of both low and high end boilers into on vessel equipped with special sensor to evacuate any free moisture. Then the partially hydrated solution is introduced into the first bath to aid in water-soluble stain removal and overall cleaning performance.
The Smart-9 microprocessor monitors all cleaning, drying and distillation phases of operation.
The machines are available in either rigid or sot mount versions and are sold only by factory authorized Firbimatic dealers.
