Condensing water heater

LIVONIA, MI -- Hamilton Engineering Inc.'s new Evolution 99 condensing water heater is available in single unit sizes up to 199,999 BTU/hr and in integrated systems up to nearly 800,000 BTU/hr.

The company says the heaters have an efficiency rating of up to 99.8 percent. Features include a stainless steel burner and heat exchanger, self-diagnosing microprocessor control and a compact polycarbonate cabinet. The microprocessor controls the modulating gas/air valve to precisely match the heat output to the load at any given moment and keep the heater in the condensing mode where it is most efficient.

Since stack temperatures are very low, the heater can be vented through 3-inch PVC pipe or a 5-inch concentric vent option for incoming and exhaust air, keeping roof or wall penetrations at one per unit. Because it is a compact sealed combustion water heater with a zero clearance to combustibles, it can be installed almost anywhere.
