The International Fabricare Institute has
begun accepting nominations from members in Districts 2 and 6
for IFI’s Board of Directors.
Jim Cripe, who is currently the director
for District 6 and IFI’s President-Elect, will be leaving
his position to take his role as IFI’s president for the
2002-03 term. His district oversees Arkansas, Louisiana,
Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
District 2 Director David Rosenblatt will
retire at the completion of his current term. His area covers
Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina,
Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
Both men will hope to discover potential
successors by participating in nominating committees which are
comprised of the various presidents of each state or regional
association in their district. IFI’s bylaws dictate that
the nominating committees submit at least one candidate per
district to the association by Feb. 15.
After the candidates have been reviewed,
ballots for the district elections will be mailed out on March
25 to all IFI members who are in good standing and reside in a
District 2 or 6 state. Those members must postmark the return
ballots no later than April 15.
Prospective candidates for District 2
should contact Rosenblatt at Green Valley Cleaners in N.
Huntington, PA, at (800) 366-5769.
Members seeking to be nominated to
represent District 6 should contact Cripe at Valet Cleaners in
Temple, TX, at (254) 773-5601.
