SEFA announces early plans for 2002 show
The South Eastern Fabricare Association will host its 2002 Southern Drycleaners Show at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center, located at One International Drive in Savannah, GA.
The venue will be a change of pace from SEFA’s 2000 show, which was held at the Cobb Galleria Center and Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, GA.
Next year’s event, which will run from Aug. 2-4, will offer exhibit time from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Exhibitors will have time to set up their displays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1.
Attendees who wish to receive a discounted hotel room rate will have a choice of hotels. Reservations for the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort can be made by calling (912) 201-2000. Callers should mention the Southern Drycleaners Show and call by June 14, 2002.

Street’s hosts seminars on stain removal
In the month of December, R.R. Street and Co., Inc., will be sponsoring two seminars on effective stain removal.
Kenney Slatten, who currently serves on the board for the Western States Drycleaners and Launderers Association, will bring over 30 years of experience to the presentations. He will be demonstrating techniques with Street’s Portable Stain Removal Board and Display.
The first seminar is scheduled for Dec. 8, hosted by Phenix Supply in Decatur, GA. One week later on Dec. 15, Slatten will be in Marietta, GA, for a presentation hosted by Morris & Eckels.

Learn to “Spot Rite” in February
From Feb. 22-23, the Louisiana-Mississippi Drycleaners & Laundry Association will present a session of the popular “Spot Rite” seminars conducted by Tom Swink and Dennis Schmitt of Lindeman’s Cleaning, Inc. in Green Bay, WI.
Both men possess over 46 years of combined experience in the drycleaning industry. They began the seminar series approximately ten years ago.
The course is designed to cover hands-on spotting techniques for both beginners and advanced students.
The event is sponsored by LMDLA, which also recently announced its annual meeting and convention for 2002. It will take place from March 8-10 at the Sheraton/Argosy Casino Convention Center in Baton Rouge, LA.
