GreenEarth reaches 10 million pound mark
GreenEarth Cleaning announced last month that GreenEarth cleaning solvent has been used to clean more than 10 million pounds of garments in approximately 200 locations in the U.S.
The 10 million-pound milestone a recent announcement that the company has teamed with Procter & Gamble to bring improved detergent technology to GreenEarth Cleaning drycleaners. The new detergent will boost the cleaning power and environmental benefits of the company’s patented drycleaning process, the company said.
“The GreenEarth Cleaning system has proven itself in the marketplace as a true alternative to perc, and, as a veteran drycleaner myself, I couldn’t be more pleased to see that the industry has a solution that’s good for everybody,” said GreenEarth Cleaning chairman Jim Barry. “We sincerely thank all drycleaners who have made the GreenEarth Cleaning solvent a resounding success.”
GreenEarth Cleaning was created in 1998 by several drycleaners who were looking for an alternative to perc in response to increasing regulatory pressure and other business issues driving a search for a perc alternative. GreenEarth Cleaning, in response to industry needs and, in partnership with General Electric and Procter & Gamble, makes the solution available to drycleaners worldwide.
