Eisen working on school start-up, developing home study course
Dan Eisen is assisting Radiant Leather Care Cleaners in the start-up of a drycleaning training facility in Riviera Beach, FL.
The school is equipped with perc and hydrocarbon cleaning machines, up-to-date wetcleaning equipment and state-of-the-art finishing equipment. There will be ample space for classroom study and student participation. Study manuals will include “The Art of Spotting” and “The Art of Wetcleaning,” both written by Eisen.
Eisen was assistant director of the New York School of Drycleaning for 33 years and has taught thousands of students. He also taught restoration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and fabric-related courses for Marymount College and the Fashion Institute of Technology. He holds a license for teaching drycleaning, spotting and fabrics and is also certified to teach environmental certification courses.
Steve Jennings is the owner of Radiant Leather Care Cleaners in Riviera Beach, FL, which serves more than 1,000 cleaners with processing suedes, leathers, gown restoration and specialized bleaching.
Eisen and Jennings are also working together to create a home study video training course for drycleaners. The home-study course will include the Eisen’s spotting and wetcleaning manuals, video instruction, private telephone instructional consultations and participation of manufacturers with products and technical information.
