Craig’s Cleaners expands
A new division of Craig’s Cleaners in Houston, TX, has been formed, according to Bob and Harry Craig, co-owners of the 37-year old family owned and operated business.
Craig’s Cleaners Garment Restoration Services will be headed by Kirk Craig, the oldest son of Harry Craig. The University of Virginia graduate takes over a part of the business that has been operational for
some time but has grown to the point where a separate entity was founded.
“Houston has gone through some difficult times recently with the fallout from Tropical Storm Allison, and Craig’s Cleaners has seen its restoration business grow exponentially,” Kirk Craig said. “We will operate under the same principles that Craig’s does, including the ‘It’s Right, It’s Ready or It’s Free!’ motto. Simply put, all restoration work will be finished to our client’s satisfaction, delivered when promised or there’s no charge.”
With a large fleet of delivery vans and a 24-hour emergency phone number, the Garment Restoration Services division can quickly respond to rush orders. Craig’s Cleaners newest division has already handled large and small orders from insurance adjusters, remediation companies and individual clients.
With state-of-the-art cleaning machines and a totally computerized mark-in and tracking system, Craig’s Cleaners Garment Restoration Services aims to be a vital partner in any clean-up efforts.
“I’d like to think that one call does it all for our restoration customers,” Kirk Craig added. “We can handle a lot more than just clothes — items like shoes, hats, belts, stuffed animals, pillows and draperies.”
Craig’s Cleaners operates 12 stores in downtown and Southwest Houston and processed over two million garments this past year.
