Upcoming 2003 seminars focus on dealing with other people
If you’ve ever had an employee exude a negative attitude or an angry customer that is difficult to handle, you may want to attend one of the early 2003 seminars sponsored in California by National Seminars Group.
“Unacceptable Behavior and Other Tough Employee Performance Problems” will offer practical solutions for dealing with employees that exhibit a negative attitude.
The two-day workshop is designed to help managers and supervisors increase the productivity of their underperforming staff members and help improve the overall morale of all employees.
Attendees will learn coaching and feedback techniques that will generate improvement in unmotivated employees and how to avoid potentially explosive situations by recognizing problems early and diffusing them effectively.
The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two consecutive days with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the first day. Enrollment is $395 per person.
Two-day workshops are scheduled to start on the following dates and locations: Jan. 7 at the Fountain Grove Inn at 101 Fountain Grove Parkway in Santa Rosa; Jan. 13 at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway at 1500 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco, CA; and Jan. 21 at the Doubletree Hotel at 2001 Point West Way in Sacramento.
Another seminar on “How to Handle Difficult People” will help attendees identify and handle the ten most common types of difficult people; how to neutralize the typical tactics they often use; and how to minimize the overall effects of negative behavior.
The program is designed to teach techniques for rooting out the cause of conflicts and eliminating them, leading to easier confrontations with all people — including your customers and employees.
The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on one day with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. The cost for the workshop is $139 per person.
Sessions have been scheduled for the following dates and locations: Jan. 14 at the Vizcaya Pavilion at 2019 21st. St. in Sacramento; Jan. 17 at the Renaissance Hotel on 111 East Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach; Jan. 22 at the Handlery Hotel and Resort at 950 Hotel Circle North in San Diego; and Jan. 23 at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway at 1500 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco.
In the case of both workshops, if three members from the same organization enroll, a fourth member may attend for free.
