Steiner-Atlantic hosts free Expo 2003 from
Feb. 8-9
Steiner-Atlantic Corporation promises cleaners a chance to “See the
Future in Action” at its International Dryclean &
Laundry Expo 2003, scheduled to take place on Saturday and
Sunday, February 8 and 9 at 290 NE 68th St. in Miami, FL.
The event will offer several expert live
operating demonstrations and classroom seminars on a variety of
topics.
Seminar topics will include a discussion
of plant equipment maintenance procedures by Jim Goulet and
Tammy Kernus of Aquaterra will demonstrate practical
applications of the wetcleaning process.
Don Desrosiers of Tailwind Shirt Systems
will also be on hand to discuss shirt cleaning. Drycleaning
consultant Everett Childers will speak on the future of the
industry.
Additionally, attendees will have an
opportunity to witness alternative solvents in operation. Exxon
DF 2000 hydrocarbon, GreenEarth, Rynex and Green Jet cleaning
will all be represented.
Live equipment will also be on display to
show cleaners the fine art of finishing for both standard and
tensioning equipment.
Exhibit hours will run from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Some of the exhibitors on the floor will
include: Unipress, Milnor, Hurst Boiler, Forenta, Cissell,
White Conveyors, Union Cleaning Machines, Rema, Ajax, IPSO,
Aero-Tech, Aqua Chillers and Kleerwite Chemical.
Admittance to the exhibit hall and all of
the weekend’s seminars is free.

the nearby Marco Polo Ramada Place Beach Resort located at
19201 Collins Ave. in North Miami Beach. The cost is $95 per
night for single or double occupancy. Attendees may purchase a
room on the ocean front for $125 per night. Both rates include

Equipment seminars set for LA, SC
“Cowboy Cleaner” Kenney
Slatten of the Kenney Slatten Training Company will be in the
southern region of the country in the coming months to offer up
two equipment seminars for R.R. Street & Co., Inc.
On Saturday, February 22, Slatten will
teach drycleaning equipment training at 518 Benton Rd. in
Bossier City, LA. The seminar will be co-hosted by Ideal
Chemical & Supply Co. and Porter’s Cleaners.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The
seminar will take from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be
included.
The cost is $29.95 a person; however, that
figure is reduced to $19.95 for each additional member from the
same drycleaning plant.
