IFI unveils new logo
Maybe you can’t judge a book by its
cover, but the International Fabricare Institute believes you can tell how serious an
organization is by its logo.
In an effort to keep up with changing
times, IFI has officially rebranded itself.
The logo transformation began about 14
months ago when a small committee comprised of the
association’s cleaners, staff and board members decided
that a new image would better reflect all of the positive
changes IFI has undergone in order to better serve its members.
“We know that IFI is a lot different
that it was three to four years ago, and it is radically
different from what it was six to seven years ago. The industry
has changed considerably since then, too,” IFI CEO Bill
Fisher explained. “Putting a new face on IFI will help
convey those differences and refresh the distinction IFI
members enjoy over non-members.”
The new metallic silver logo, designed by
branding specialist Brigit Silvestri, utilizes a special
reflective ink that cannot be reproduced by a scanner, printer
or photocopier. IFI wanted to make sure the logo was both
eye-catching and safe from unauthorized use.
Another subtle change is in the
logo’s wording, that used to read: “The Association
of Professional Drycleaners, Wetcleaners and Launderers.”
It now concisely dubs IFI as an “Association for
Professional Dry Cleaners.”
