EAST BERLIN, CT — The EDRO Corporation has introduced DynaWash with Active Air, a washer-extractor that combines a built-in, on-board activated oxygen generator with a high speed machine. The high-speed programmable computer controlled washer-extractor uses a patented technology for processing most loads in cold water, with less chemistry and without sacrificing quality.

Active Air Plasma, a stream of ionized gas molecules, is generated on site at the machine. It is produced by exposing atmospheric air to a set of lamps emitting both ultraviolet and infrared radiation. These lamps are encased in a highly reflective magnetic chamber that elevates the ion activity. The resulting stream of air, including a substantial plasma fraction of paramagnetic oxygen, ionized oxygen and ionized nitrogen atoms, is introduced into the moisture of the incoming air. This combination creates a safe, disinfected, and sanitized air stream that is injected into the wash wheel. The sanitized air has components of hydroxyl ions, singlet oxygen, nitroxyl ions, and peroxyl ions (hydrogen peroxide).

Benefits of the system include:

• The ability to wash in cold water, resulting in lower gas costs.

• Using less chemicals, resulting in lower chemical costs, increased fabric life, less chemical handling, reduced water pollution and less rinse water usage (shorter cycle times).

• Reduced drying times, resulting in lower gas costs, faster production, less dryer maintenance and less lint in filters.

• Less water consumption, resulting in lower water costs and fewer rinse cycles.

The system requires no additional floor space. Components are an integral part of the machine, wired into control and specifically sized for each model.† No extra external machine connections are required.

DynaWash with Active Air is available in 60- and 100-lb. models.

Hydrocarbon Wetspo is formulated for the new cleaning solutions and works on oil and latex paints, machine and motor oil, salad and cooking oil, ink, hem steaks, etc.

TULSA, OK — Royaltone’s Spot Magic is a non-oily POG spotter that rinses wet or dry in wetcleaning, drycleaning and laundry and will not leave oily rings. It provides the spotting power of a heavy duty full-strength POG without the oil.

Oils used in many POGs can cause problems in wetcleaning, drycleaning and laundry systems including rings, streaks, swales, graying, reduction in filter life and oily residues.
