The basic course covers: fibers and
fabrics; work flow; principles of the drycleaning processes;
assembly and invoicing; the drycleaning machine; cleaning and

Those who have completed the introductory
course may want to consider enhancing their skills by enrolling

Students will also learn about customer

MAC offers members in-plant training
In-plant training can often prove too
costly for many businesses, but the MidAtlantic
Association of Cleaners is
seeking to change that by offering a convenient drycleaning
education service to its members.
Professional trainer Fran Sadler has
teamed up with MAC to offer members access to a variety of
training programs designed to save them money by reducing
wasted time and mistakes.
Sadler’s areas of expertise include
stain removal, problem garments, customer service, finishing
techniques, workflow and wetcleaning.
A graduate of IFI’s general and
management courses, Sadler grew up in the industry at her
family’s plant in Severna Park, Maryland.
Later in life, she moved to Massachusetts
where she owned a successful drycleaning operation for 12 years
and taught stain removal and wedding gown processing classes
for IFI and NEFA.
She is also an award-winning Dale Carnegie
graduate, a CED/CPD, and a Jolly Belin member.
For more information on the program and
Sadler’s availability for training, contact MAC at (800)
235-8360.
