Reusable RFID garment tags
NORRISTOWN, PA — DCCS’s patented RFID Garment Tags were designed specifically for the drycleaning and laundry industry and have been tested for up to 1,000 cycles to withstand all cleaning and finishing processes.
They are available in ten colors and each tag includes an RFID Chip and Bar Code for use in a central plant or remote stores.
DCCS
The RFID Fast Tag 1, 2, and 3 allows for quick and easy attachment of RFID Tags to garments. The Fast Tag 1 stores up to 140 Tags of a single color. The Fast Tag 2 and 3 have three storage slots to hold multiple colors of RFID Garment Tags. This reduces the time needed to change colors at the end of a lot, or to mark in multiple lots at one station.
A complete RFID-enabled mark-in station provides for fast and efficient tagging of garments. As each order is marked in, the DCCS system informs the operator which color tag to place on each piece in an order. The system tracks when to change colors and will not allow the operator to assign the incorrect color tag. An RFID-enabled mark-in station can cut mark-in time in half.
RFID Garment Tags can be used on all types of garments. Consistent placement on garments provides for quicker reading and removal of each tag. Looser knit fabrics may require adding a paper backing on the T side of the fastener which will prevent it from pulling through.
An efficient way to sort lots before final assembly is to move lot sorting to the pressing stations. The presser hangs the garment on the conveyor based upon the color of the tag. This method of sorting from the pressing stations eliminates the labor needed to sort by color before final assembly.
After the garment is hung on the appropriate hook by the presser, the conveyor automatically sorts the garments by color. Lots are moved from the sorting rails to the final assembly bay as they are completed.
CA Sort is configured in a U shape. This configuration limits the amount of movement needed to hang each garment. When a garment is presented to the antenna, a red light on the panel indicates where to hang the garment and a voice command indicates the number audibly.
As orders are completed a green light is lit. CA Sort allows for assembly of more than 500 pieces per hour. Each order is reconfirmed at bagging/de-tagging.
As the tags for each piece are removed, the RFID Garment Tag is read. Only when the correct tags for an order are read is a final invoice printed. The final invoice is then attached to the order.
This double check assures that no incomplete order can be bagged without any exceptions being noted and that the RFID Garment Tags are being removed.

The form finisher offers more versatility in programming the operational cycles for quality finishing. Options include manual steam and air finish with automatic cycles to include a steam cycle, steam and air combination cycle and then an air dry cycle.

Drying tumblers with electric heat
RIPON, WI — Ajax tumblers are now available with electric heat. These tumblers feature axial airflow, which provides efficient drying while reducing energy consumption. The drying system directs all heated air through the cylinder and the sealed cylinder rims keep it there, providing increased drying efficiency.
Ajax tumblers feature either manual or electronic controls. Manual controls allow operators to select drying times and temperatures. Electronic controls offer preset drying times or the ability to customize cycles to fit specific drying requirements.
Also featured is an extra large door opening on the 50- and 75-lb. tumblers, 40 percent larger than previous models, which makes getting big, bulky items and large loads in and out of the dryer easier. Reversible doors are constructed of stainless steel.

compressors. Unlike conventional piston compressors, they are fluid cooled and built to run 100 percent of the time if needed. They have no rings to wear out and the overall designs promote air quality with little oil carry over and cooler operating temperatures.
Other benefits are low noise and vibration levels along with increased installation flexibility. With technological advancements and a wider variety of sizes and configurations, prices for rotary screw compressors have dropped significantly, the company noted.

CO2 spotting agents
CLEVELAND, OH — Linde Gas, working in tandem with Uniqema and the Carbondi group of CO2 equipment suppliers, has added two products to its to work with its Washpoint system for CO2 drycleaning
The new Washpoint spotters have been developed to treat challenging stains in combination with Washpoint Detergent in liquid CO2. The creation of spotter products to remove stubborn water- and oil-based stains allows the drycleaner to clean a broader spectrum of soils in liquid CO2.
There are two products available: Washpoint HydroSpot for water based stains and Washpoint LipoSpot for oils and greases.
HydroSpot for water based stains is a concentrated product that is diluted 1:1 with water before use. LipoSpot for oils and greases is used as supplied. Both are applied before running garments through the cleaning cycle. For heavily stained areas, the two can be used in combination.
Because CO2 cleaning runs at cold temperatures, stains are not set during the wash process, thus post-treatment of garments cleaned in Washpoint detergent is also possible.

Soil release additive
TULSA OK — Royaltone’s Soil Go Soil Release is a highly concentrated batch additive for eliminating prespotting, harsh brushing and reruns on heavily soiled and stained items in drycleaning.
soil go 1 gal big
Soil Go removes heavy soil and ring type spots and stains in the drycleaning wheel the first time the garments are cleaned. It works with any detergent system in any drycleaning fluid and will not build up.
Royaltone said the product is color safe and swale-free for all cloth garments in drycleaning, anti-static action for the suppression of static electric shock and linting and is non-hazardous.
Soil Go also helps control moisture for brighter whites, rayons, linens, cottons and heavily soiled trench coats.
One ounce of Soil Go is added to the drycleaning wheel full strength for each ten pounds of heavily soiled and stained clothes. For best results, it should be added to the start of the drycleaning cycle and run on batch for three to eight minutes before running on filter.
