NCA ready for a Bahamian weekend
Cleaners interested in
“Brainstorming with the Best” only have a little
time left to sign up for the National Cleaners
Association’s upcoming seminar program at the Atlantis
Resort and Casino in Paradise Island, Nassau, in the Bahamas.
The two-and-a-half day event will take
place between January 16-18.
A veritable all-star list of the
industry’s most knowledgeable experts will be attending,
including marketing guru Sid Tuchman of Tuchman Associates.
He will draw from his wealth of past
experience in his seminar “Focusing on Small Things for
Big Results” which offers ideas on how plant owners can
succeed, and even thrive, in the drycleaning industry.
Also making an appearance will be master
marketer Lois Geller, author of the books “Response! The
Complete Guide to Profitable Direct Marketing” and
“Customers For Keeps: 8 Powerful Strategies to Turn
Customers into Friends and Keep Them Forever.” She is
president and co-founder of Mason and Geller Associates.
She will divulge direct marketing secrets
for businesses seeking to generate profitable new customers
while retaining loyal customers with “Winning Customer
Acquisition & Loyalty Strategies from a Master
Marketer.”
Specific topics to be covered in the
presentation include: branding; offers; the plan; lists; media;
database; and the Internet.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to
learn about “Working on Your Cleaning Business and Your
Life” from Wendy Vinson, E-Myth vice president of
training. Instead of having your business run you ragged,
Vinson will instill helpful pointers to business owners to help
them run their business more smoothly so they can have time to
enjoy life.
Joining the list of speakers is Jay Lehr,
Ph.D., a widely-known environmental engineer who has advice on
how companies can meet environmental challenges without fear of
government intervention. His seminar is entitled “Freedom
vs. The Environment.”
All of the educational offerings will be
presented twice during the weekend so attendees can have more
flexibility to plan their itinerary.
Each presenter is given three hours for
their seminar; however, they will also be available for
discussions at the tabletop exhibit hall that NCA will offer
throughout the weekend.
Cost for the “Brainstorming”
conference is $250 for NCA members and $350 for non-members.
Discounted room reservations have been
secured at a rate of $199 nightly for Coral Towers and $255 for
Royal Towers at the Atlantis Hotel. All rooms have a view of
the harbor. For more information on the Atlantis, visit the
hotel’s web site located at www.atlantis.com.
The rates are in effect during NCA’s
program, as well as three days before and three days following
the event so cleaners can have more time to explore the
Bahamas.
To register for the program, contact Ann
Hargrove at the NCA office by calling (800) 888-1-NCA.
