A brainstorm in the Bahamas
With a good response to its first
mid-winter seminar in the Bahamas, the National Cleaners
Association is already looking forward to doing it again next
year.
The three-day session in January on
Nassau’s Paradise Island gave cleaners a chance to warm
their toes in the Caribbean sand while hearing from some top
experts at a series of seminars.
“All the evaluations came back
good,” said NCA’s Anne Hargrove. “There
wasn't a single negative comment.”
Nonetheless, she said, the next time
around NCA will schedule all of the seminars for the mornings
and keep the afternoons free.
Among the speakers at this year’s
event were industry veteran Sid Tuchman, president of Tuchman
Training Systems who spoke on “Focusing on Small Things
for Big Results.” Joining him were Wendy Vinson,
who discussed “Working on Your Cleaning Business
and Your Life,” Jay Lehr, Ph.D., an authority on
groundwater hydrology, who offered his viewpoints on
“Freedom vs. The Environment,” and Lois Geller, an
award-winning author of books on marketing.
