Stain removal for silicone-based cleaning
TAMPA, FL — Kreussler Chemical has released four new stain removal products
compatible with GreenEarth Cleaning’s
environmentally-friendly, silicone-based drycleaning system.
The four spotters are Prenett CS (brush
pre-spotter), Prenett CS-A (tannin stain removal agent),
Prenett CS-B (blood and protein stain removal agent) and
Prenett CS-C (paint, oil & grease stain removal agent). All
are color coded for ease of use and have available spotting
charts in English and Spanish.

Hydrocarbon system
WAYNE, NJ — Caled Chemical announced its new product, Hydroclene Dry
Cleaning Fluid, which is available exclusively through
Caled’s U.S. and Canadian distribution channel.
Hydroclene is a hydrocarbon solvent that
has been formulated and refined using fractions of advanced
products from Shell Chemical.
In addition to environmental benefits, it
is easy on garments with beads, sequins, buttons, and
trimmings, gives garments a soft hand and is virtually
odorless.
The “Hydroclene process” has
been designed to meet the requirements of professional cleaners
seeking an alternative cleaning method that is environmentally
friendly. The process is a three-product solution that includes:
Hydroclene Dry Cleaning Solvent; Hydroclene Detergent; and
Hydroclene Paint, Oil and Grease Remover.
The combination of solvent with detergent
provides degreasing and water-soluble stain removal properties
and the ability to dissolve a broad range of stains. Also, the
company said, Hydroclene meets FDA regulations for applications
involving direct and indirect food contact.
Hydroclene is the first in a line of
specialty cleaning solvents to be released under Caled’s
recently created solvent division. The company expects the new
division to address the needs of professional cleaners wanting
branded products and an environmentally friendly cleaning
process.

Automated customer calls
HUNTSVILLE, AL — Global Business Systems
Inc. has introduced Smart
Call, an add-on feature to its Smart Dry Cleaner Computer
System that can make automatic telephone reminder calls to
customers.
Smart Call can remind customers to pick up
forgotten orders, tell customers when orders are ready to be
picked up, call ahead to advise customers of deliveries of
pick-ups and send pre-recorded messages to customers.
A timer can be set to start and stop calls
and the program provides reports on disconnects, completed
calls and other statistics.

Expanded chiller line
ST. LOUIS, MO — KR Products has
expanded its water chiller line with models of three- through
24-ton chillers while adding new features and upgrades to
improve the efficiency and reliability of the units.
The split system now incorporates a pump
cabinet assembly that includes an insulated 80-gal. tank, a
stainless steel pump and a digital temperature control. Models
for the split system include 3-, 5-, 7.5, 10-, 12-, 15-, and
24-ton units.
New packages systems include 3-, 5-, 7.5-,
10-, 15-, and 24-ton units. These also have a stainless steel
water pump, a remote 24-volt control modules and an increased
tank size.
All units include high and low pressure,
freon safety switches and low water flow safety switches.
Options include 460-volt, three-phase, low-pressure bypass
timers and upgraded pump horsepower.

Soil monitoring
DALLAS, TX — PerTect offers an early warning system that detects
subsurface vapors that can result from even small releases of
volatile chemicals, including perc, hydrocarbon solutions and
spotting chemicals. Scheduled monitoring lets technicians
identify changes in trends in subsurface vapor concentration
which can reduce potential contamination cleanup costs and
minimize pollution liability.
The patented system is custom build for
each specific at-risk property and the basic system
installation and a year of quarterly monitoring are comparable
to a basic Phase 1 environmental site assessment.

Ink and lipstick loads
TULSA, OK — Royaltone’s Ink
Load is a batch additive that is added to the wheel of the
drycleaning or wetcleaning machine to remove ink and lipstick
from ink and lipstick loads in the wheel instead of tediously
and laboriously on the spotting board. Ink Load may be used in
any drycleaning fluid, any drycleaning machine and in any
wetcleaning or laundry washer.
For drycleaning add Ink Load to the
drycleaning wheel, eight ounces per ten pounds of ink load or
lipstick load items and batch clean for ten minutes with no
filter.
For wetcleaning, add Ink Load to the wash
water, eight ounces per ten pounds and wash for ten minutes.
One quart of Ink Load can clean a 40-lb.
ink or lipstick load.
