CCA announces educational programms for
show
Contamination, computers and cleaning
technologies will be a few of the topics that will be explored
in-depth at the California Cleaners
Association’s Fabricare
2004 show, slated to take place from August 27-29.
Once again, the event will be held at the
Long Beach Convention Center.
While the daily itinerary is still in the
process of being finalized, CCA has publicly released the
topics for this year’s educational seminars.
A program on “Leases — How to
Negotiate (or Renegotiate) for Maximum Success!” will
help cleaners unravel the maze of hidden costs, fine print
conditions and environmental concerns that are inherent in many
bad lease options. Cleaners who are prepared with such
knowledge will be able to negotiate the best lease option
available for their plant.
With the threat of environmental cleanup
costs constantly looming over the heads of cleaners, CCA hopes
to alleviate fears and deliver to attendees the tools needed so
they can successfully deal with contamination issues. The
seminar is titled “Contamination Scare! They Want to
Test. What Do You Do?”
Also on the agenda will be a seminar on
“Computer Technology for Cleaners.” It will be
delivered by a computer consultant who will demonstrate the
basics from selecting a computer to how to use it and make the
technology work in your favor.
A program entitled “E-Marketing for
Your Business — It’s Easier Than You Think”
will help cleaners get even more out of their computers by
teaching the fast, inexpensive and effective method of e-mail
marketing. Legality issues will be discussed, as well as
helpful hints and success secrets.
Lastly, CCA will enlist a panel of experts
to cover “Alternative Technologies, Air Districts, the
Legislature and You! What Might Be Coming Your Way?”
Alternative cleaning technologies are growing in popularity in
California, so what should statewide cleaners expect from local
air districts, the legislature and the California Air Resources
Board? How will their actions affect you and your cleaners? The
panel will explore answers to these questions and many more.
The headquarters hotel for this
year’s Fabricare 2004 show will be the Long Beach Hyatt
Regency, located on 200 S. Pine Ave.
For more information about hotel
reservations or show registration, contact the CCA office by
calling (800) 390-8409.
