NCALC offers fall training sessions
Jane Rising, IFI’s manager of
training, will be helping cleaners in North Carolina learn more
about producing quality drycleaning and finishing in the coming
months.
Rising will hold a two-day, two-class
crash course on finishing and stain removal sponsored by the North
Carolina Association of Cleaners and Launderers.
She will cover finishing in Asheville on
September 18 and then in Raleigh on October 2. Stain removal
will be discussed on September 19 in Asheville and October 3 in
Raleigh.
She will offer hands-on training held live
in operating drycleaning plants. Upon completion of each
course, students will be recognized with certificates of

Tri-State sets October equipment show
Tri-State Laundry Equipment
Company’s second annual Live Equipment Show will come to
Kernersville, NC, October 9-10 at 1031 East Mountain St.
The show will feature live operation by
trained personnel on the latest machinery, including: Columbia
drycleaning; Wascomat wetcleaning and washers and dryers;
Unipress shirt and wearing apparel units; a Leonard tunnel
finisher; Forenta drycleaning presses; Fulton boilers; an
Ingersoll-Rand air compressor; a Rema vacuum; and a Voyager hot
water heater.
Also present will be Kleen-Rite’s
wastewater atomizer and spot cooling system, Westgate’s
SPOT computer software and ESD’s credit card payment
system for coin laundries.
Unimac offers advanced and basic training
Unimac will be hosting two upcoming technical
training sessions at its World Training Center in Marianna,
Florida.
The company’s service training
experts will demonstrate laundry equipment operation with
in-depth discussions on installation, maintenance and
diagnostic methods.
First up will be an advanced seminar from
September 20-24 designed specifically for seasoned technicians
with several years of field experience.
The basic session will take place November
15-19 and examine issues pertaining to the operation and
maintenance of washer extractors, including electrical control
and programming; the electrical drive system; mechanical
breakdown; and troubleshooting. Tumbler dryers will be taught
on Friday.
In both the basic and the advanced class,
students will receive a plant tour, product manuals and a
certificate of attendance.
A $100 non-refundable fee will be required
to reserve class space.
