OFA to meet in Niagara Falls
The Ontario Fabricare Association will hold its annual conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Oct. 15-16.
Guest speakers, all appearing on Saturday, Oct. 16,  will be Wayne Wudyka, Chris Allsbrooks and Gisele Nicholls. Vendors’ table-top displays will be available for viewing throughout the day. For the evening, there will be a trip to the King Henry VIII Dinner Theater.
The weekend gets underway on Friday with a President’s Reception at 8 p.m. Saturday starts off with the annual general meeting at 8 a.m.
Wudyka will be the day’s first speaker, presenting “Diversification is a Key To Growth; Insurance Restoration is an Option,” from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wudyka is president, CEO and founding partner in the Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network which provides a single-source drycleaning alternative for the insurance industry.
Chris Allsbrooks, garment analyst for the International Fabricare Institute, will present a program on problem garments at 10:30 a.m. In her 11th year with IFI, Allsbrooks has presented many programs to the industry as well as appearances on network television.
The afternoon program will feature Gisele Nicholls, western regions program coordinator with the Ministry of Labour Employment Standards Program in Hamilton. She will address employee relations issues.
