New line of water chillers
PROSPERITY, SC — Aqua Products Co. Inc. (APCI) has a new line of package chillers built in the York Predator condensing unit. The new Predator YP models are built as a complete package. All of the air side blowers and coils are removed and replaced as a quality package chiller. Included by APCI along with all of its standard chiller features are chilled water components, 24-volt chilled water controls, digital controller, flow switch, dual refrigeration circuits, an insulated poly tank, water pump with stainless steel pump head, 208-230/60/3 single point main power (460/60/3 optional).

The YP style chiller series is ETL-listed and built into a Predator’s horizontal cabinet. They are run-tested before shipping.
A maximum height of 50 3Ž4" makes the YP model ideal for most installations. The low profile keeps it out of view when installed on a roof and helps stabilize the chiller during high winds and earthquakes. It can also be installed on ground level, which makes for easy access and service.
The YP model can be designed for most applications that require a minimum of 35°F to a maximum 85°F chilled water.
Application assistance is available for APCI of local York distributors. Each YP model has a five-year compressor warranty and a one-year parts replacement warranty. Technical assistance is available by telephone.
APCI is an independently owned U.S. corporation and not part of York International. APCI said it is solely responsible for all claims.

Heat pump water heater
COLVILLE, WA — Colmac Industries has introduced its energy efficient CoolMac air-to-water heat pump water heater for commercial, industrial, and institutional workplaces.
CoolMac captures unwanted excess heat from warm air generated in the work area and the heat is recovered and pumped into the hot water system where it can be used to heat water and reduce fuel consumption.
A by-product is cooler, drier air that can be used to provide indoor spot cooling where large amounts of heat are generated in confined spaces. Instead of contributing to the building heat load problem, CoolMac captures heat rather than wasting it into the atmosphere. Every time the unit runs, it provides cool air for employees while supplying inexpensive hot water. In the process it also reduces the demand on other equipment, further decreasing overall energy costs.
