IDC making plans for Orlando
“Fresh Ideas, Challenging Times” will be the theme for the International Drycleaners Congress convention in Orlando, FL, June 19-22.
The Renaissance Orlando Resort, across from Sea World, will be the headquarters hotel. This hotel will also serve as headquarters for the International Fabricare Institute during the Clean Show in Orlando, which begins right after the IDC convention ends.
The IDC program will include morning sessions with speakers from around the world. Topics to be covered include diversification, implementing marketing initiatives, the state of the industry around the world and reports from IDC fellowship scholars. IDC’s annual general meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 21. The president’s reception and banquet will also be held on Tuesday.
Plant tours will be held in the afternoons with time set aside for recreation, renewing friendships and exploring Orlando.
Also planned is a pre-convention Caribbean cruise from June 12-19. The Royal Caribbean International’s Mariner of the Seas will depart from Canaveral, FL, and make port calls in Nassau, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Philipsburg, St. Maarten before returning to Canaveral.
