Review by Michael Finn

Mike Tucker plays all his cards at once in Dust Breeding; not all the cards are aces but the finished play is still a winner. The cast are excellent and all play their parts for all they're worth. Caroline John has a lot of fun with her heavily accented Madame Salvadori. There's a good sense of mystery and foreboding that somehow manages to last until well into episode three, indeed episode two's cliff-hanger is easily one of the best I've heard so far in the big Finish range. Storm Harvest's Krill are back for a spot of Alienesque carnage, The Genocide Machine's Bev Tarrant somehow bumps into the Doctor again (small universe) and somewhere amidst it all is the real shock reunion of it all - how on earth did they manage to keep that one under raps.
Quoted from the CD cover:
'On nineteenth century Earth, artist Edvard Munch hears an infinite scream pass through nature. Centuries later his painting of that Scream hangs in a gallery on the barren dust world Duchamp 331.
Why is there a colony of artists on a planet that is little more than a glorified garage? What is the event that the passengers of the huge, opulent pleasure cruiser 'Gallery' are hoping to see? And what is hidden in the crates that litter the cargo hold?
The Doctor's diary indicates that the painting is about to be destroyed in "mysterious circumstances", and when he and Ace arrive on Duchamp 331, those circumstances are well underway.
